For those who don't know how to make one, you can follow this guide for the easiest way possible in making them (be sure to set the size to 32x32 instead of 16x16)

It never loads them when I make them, but maybe I'm doing something wrong. I haven't had time to mess with it in awhile.

Hmm, I did some moe research on the whole 'custom icon' thing. Seems not one person has acually been abe to make it work properly. :/ Oh well, I've still got one I made today. I've also got a mario sprite I made a month ago I oculd use. XD

I've got it working.....I put in the icon, and I click on View Icon, it gives me an error and i click on it again, and then I go back to the game. Make sure the icon is in the directory where the game is or with the save file.

What have you been typing in for the filename?

Well, it doesn't matter what the name is. But, You have to include the extension. Example: Say your icon is called CE.ICO (Icon Made By Me for the SaveFile Editor...still in progress) You have to type in the entire filename including the extension "CE.ICO"

I have about 20-30 all custom ones sent in by people for CotW's Online, can't really spoil their joy by psting them all but there are a few on here

It is possible to swap out all of the icons in the entire game. I did this years ago with Microangelo's Icon editor somehow (but it's been long enough I do not exactly remember how). I went through a phase where I created gobs and gobs of icons for the game and swapped out everything. I even swapped out the broken door icons with 'invisible' icons so the dungeon would seem cleaner. Here is a pic of My custom character icon and a wraith that I made:
