Alright, now that I've got a more powerful computer and I'm sure that my hard drive won't corrupt this time I've restarted the remake of the game!
So far here's what I've done:
Player Movement works better and faster. Player Movement will now work on any board without having to be updated every room. New Special Effects will be added for those of us with strong graphics cards (IE. Partical effects, texture effects, etc.)
The Edit button is not showing up so, right now I got the HP counters to work correctly (So far) and a small menu at the bottom of the screen, Next I'm working on the spell names (Borrowed from Cotw for now)
Interesting, but you can't hold an arrow key down and have the player continue to move in that direction
Also, I learned a bit of Windows programming, I may be able to help, however, the code will have to be converted from Pascal unless I gain more knowledge in C, C++
I'm going to work on that for the next little release (Within a week).
I have the code for it, it's just the matter of adding it in there.
And so I don't lose my code this time, I have backed up onto a flash drive, and my school gave me some access to there servers to back it up if I really need to.
edit: I added the function in the game now.

Edit2: I figured out how the magic arrow code worked, I remember someone asking that before in a differnt topic. The trick to find the slope with the foumal M = Y2 - Y1/ X2 - X1
Alright, anyways I'm going to Release 2 Versions this time around (by Saturday or Sunday) I have two methods of doing the keyboard keys (The holding of the arrow keys) and I want you guys to decide which is a better version based on how you move.
Edit: I hit a nasty snag, I can't get the Magic arrow spell to remain on the 32x32 tiles, everytime, I got it to work a bit with the 32x32 tiles but the movement was toowerid, good news is I got it to move properly to the point it is told to goto (so far).
Bug Report: The edit button isn't comming up everynow and then.
Alright another update: Magic arrow code works almost perfectly. The one down side is that it will detect if your mouse is not 100% on the tile and move slightly to a different tile (Which I just fixed after I posted this).
Saturday or Sunday, and it's just a small little board where you can test out what i've done so far, rather then Tiny Hamlet.
Edit: Nah, Today is good. Note that it looks REALLY awful right now, but it's just for testing.
Controlls are the same, except 3 added keys.
U - Move Diagonally up and to the right. Right mouse button - Right now this fires a Magic Arrow. Z - This just shows you how the menu bar won't break later on when stats are increased.
It's great to see that a remake is underway.. i had given up on seeing a COTW remake. Infact i was just about to delete the link, when i saw that the boards are active again. Cheers!
Damn, well I have to wait to continue my work, my Motherboard or power supply is broken down and I had to send it back to Texas to my dad to get the parts (So they don't end up broken, mine was a dell computer and my dad works there so yeah).
And before that I forget get a copy of the Work onto another device so yeah, the code is somewhere in the USA right now lol.
